At the end of the 2021-2022 school year—the third impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic—what are the cumulative effects of the pandemic on student achievement and gains in reading and math and are there early signs of rebounding? If so, how long might it take to fully recover? During a session on Thursday, November 10, Dr. Karyn Lewis shared results that address these questions in a large national sample of MAP Growth test takers. She also examined what’s happening in Arkansas specifically with an emphasis on identifying which students in the state have been most impacted.
