On-Demand Learning with ALA Reach

In October, ALA Reach launched its on-demand learning platform powered by the Wisdom LMS. The platform combines the ease of a course store with the utility of a classroom dashboard that allows users the opportunity to personalize their professional development. 

Asynchronous learning provides an avenue for educators to access previously recorded Reach programming at a time and place most convenient to their individual needs. On-demand flexibility also supports flipped staff and faculty meetings where the learning content is provided virtually, outside of meeting time, allowing more engagement and teacher-centered learning during scheduled meetings.

ALA Reach programming is FREE to all Arkansas educators. Current programming available in the Wisdom platform includes the following courses: 

• ALA Foundations Series Hope for Student Success
• ALA Foundations Series Focus Areas
• ALA Foundations Series Introduction to Evidence and Effect Size
• ALA Spark!
• Cultural Competence Series with Dr. Dominque Smith

Educators are encouraged to watch expiration dates of on-demand courses closely. Some courses are available throughout the 2021-22 school year. Others expire after 30, 60, or 120 days.

Reach programming is made available for on-demand viewing within one business day of the live event. Check the Wisdom Store and the Reach page of the Arkansas Leadership Academy at arkansasleadershipacademy.org/ALAReach often for updates.
